We opted for the à la carte menu, which allowed us to explore a good range of dishes, and the pricing felt very reasonable given the quality of the food, service, and the refined setting. The food itself is well executed, with clear flavours and thoughtful presentation. There is a strong emphasis on Indonesian ingredients and techniques, presented in a way that feels approachable rather than overly formal. Portions are well judged, making it suitable both for sharing and for a more structured meal. The cocktail selection deserves special mention. The menu is creative and well curated, with cocktails that complement the food rather than overpower it. A very enjoyable start and finish to the meal. Service was excellent throughout the evening. The staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely warm, making sure we were very well looked after without being intrusive. Overall, Merah Putih delivers a consistently high-quality dining experience that balances elegance, comfort, and flavour. Highly recommended."

"An absolutely perfect birthday dinner. Every dish had its own unique and delightful flavour. My partner, as usual, ordered the wrong wine for me , but when I asked to switch, they didn’t hesitate and brought me exactly what I wanted. My server, April, was outstanding. Every single dish was divine. I'm definitely coming back...we ordered way too much food but it was definitely worth it."

"Warm, cozy, and a really nice place definitely feels more like a dinner spot than lunch. The ambience does most of the heavy lifting here. Vegetarian options were a bit limited since my friend is veg. He ordered the vegetarian nasi goreng, which turned out to be less nasi, more mushroom convention. Safe to say, it unlocked a brand new mushroom phobia lol A pleasant surprise was the magician who came to our table great tricks and genuinely entertaining. That definitely added a fun touch to the experience. Overall, it’s refined fine dining with a lovely setting. Nice to experience once, but probably a one-time visit for us."

But it turned out the portions were actually quite generous, and we ended up feeling very full. Overall, the food was enjoyable, although a few dishes were slightly on the salty side. "We were a group of 11 people for Christmas dinner 25th. We booked a set package of 450k ++ for each. The table they selected for us was little congested and it was difficult gor us to get up and take photos. I had lived in Jakarta for 8 years but never had a chance to go for fine dining Indonesian food. That's why we decided to do it in bali as our family was coming from all over the world. The starters were amazing. One after the other they arrived. Actually too fast. We were not able to finish at that speed they were arriving and table became too crowded with the dishes. Everyone had a different taste and was beautifully presented too. The main course arrived all at once and portion were very big and everything tasted almost same. Dessert was good too. The atmosphere was good and we were busy with our own group. There could have been little surprises for Christmas if they wanted to do. Music was light and we all could hear each other. That was fun. Overall a nice experience."

"Had a really good dinner at Merah Putih Bali. The place is beautiful…super high ceilings, warm lighting & modern Indonesian vibe that feels cosy but still a bit fancy. The food didn’t disappoint at all. The grilled fish with mango salad was the star…smoky, juicy and topped with a fresh, tangy mango mix that was so good. We also had the lawar kacang & buntut konro, both flavourful & really well done. The nasi uduk deserves a special shout out…fluffy, fragrant & perfectly coconutty… I could honestly finish a whole bowl on its own. We were also served complimentary chicken soup…it was surprisingly yummy — savoury, rich, creamy& comforting. Friendly service, great vibes & delicious Indonesian food. Would totally come back."

"Amazing take on Indonesian food, their food & service have been consistently great over the years. In love with their “kare kambing” (Indo lamb curry) with nasi uduk, lawar kacang and their cendol. Their cocktails and choice of drinks are pretty great too! Ambience-wise, it’s beautiful, very romantic. Perfect for a date-night."
